For double-handed fly rods
Scandinavian Fly Lines offers Shooting heads in AFTM 8-9, 9-10 and 10-11 in five different densities with a strong Dacron core. Becuse the AFTM-system is sometimes inaccurate regarding classification of double-handed fly rods, we also show the weight of every fly line in grams and grains to help you find the fly line that suits you and your fly rod.

All our fly lines are custom models. It means that 3-4 extra meters have been added. So you can customise (reduce) the length of the fly line according to your personal casting style, your fly rod and your fishing conditions. Customer Service - Hand-made "ready to go" shooting heads
If you already know the weight and length of the line you want, we can make a "ready to go" shooting head according to your specifications. We attach braided loops on both ends. Mail us your specifications (weight, length and density) before order and wait for our confirmation. When you have received confirmation from us, order a customised shooting head in the "Scandinavian Shooting heads" meny.

For single-handed fly rods
We also offer a number of different types of fly lines for single handed fly rods, which are adapted to most fly casts and fishing situations. These can be found in category "Single-hand fly lines".

Our fly reels - Salmon, Grilse and Sea trout sizes

We offer four different fly reels that are designed for fly fishing for salmon and sea trout. Our "Scandinavian Fly Reel" is available in two versions, "Salmon" and "Grilse" for fly fishing for salmon and large trout in running water. Our fly reels "Sea trout" and "Sea trout - light" are intended for fly fishing on the coast for sea trout.

Our fly rods

For season 2010, we introduce our first series of single handed fly rods. Three different sizes for every type of fly fishing. Every fly rod is built with high quality components and a modern high module graphite blank. From trout fishing in small streams to tarpon fishing in Cuba, we have fly rods for every type of fly fishing. A rod tube and extra top are always included.

Our complete Scandinavian Fly fishing System

We have made it easy for you. We offer two complete systems, "Basic" or "Pro", for the Scandinavian way of fly fishing for salmon and seatrout. Every system consists of a high-quality fly reel and all the lines you need.

A chain is never stronger than its weakest link..

Do not forget to have a lot of strong backing on your fly reel, we offer two different types: 100 and 50 meter. Do not forget to use a balanced leader, we offer both polyleaders and tapered nylon leaders for optimal anchoring of the fly line and perfect presentation of the fly. New for this season are our bags and fly line wallets, perfect for storage your fly lines, reels and accessories.

Our small contribution..

The Salmon is a fascinating creature. We have all experienced wonderful moments in fly fishing for salmon, both explosives takes and screaming reels. But its existence is threatened. That is why we give 5 % of the income of every sold fly line to North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NASF) and its long term work of protecting the salmon and its natural habitat.
