Our Modern Taper Design-shooting heads have three important components of a modern shooting head for Scandinavian style fly fishing with the double-handed fly rod:
1. Double-density fly line design for optimal presentation of the fly. (Does not apply for floating model)
2. The weight concentrated in the rear section of the fly line that provides maximum loading of the fly rod.
3. All our shooting heads are custom models This means that the fly line should be adjusted to the optimum line length based on your fly rod, your casting technique and fishing conditions. Which will maximize your fly casting.
